Last week, voters in Colorado and Washington gave the green light to legalizing recreational marijuana use for the first time in US history. And Massachusetts became the 18th state in the nation to pass a medical marijuana measure. Here in New York, a bill to allow prescriptions for pot has passed the Assembly three times only to stall in the senate. Assemblyman Dick Gottfried, who sponsors the bill, discusses whether attitudes about marijuana are changing, and if that improves the bill’s chances next year.
