In a very crowded room in Manhattan, Republican Wendy Long acknowledged Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand’s successful bid for a full six-year term in the US Senate. Long still managed to work in a few jabs–charging Gillibrand dodged the important issues facing New York such as the national debt, taxes, spending, jobs, and energy.

Long also is holding out hope for her party’s standard-bearer, despite the unfolding electoral map, saying “I hope and believe that by the end of the night, Mitt Romney will be the next President of the United States.”
