Tough economic times have forced many school districts to cut staff and services, dip into rainy day funds, and search for other ways to stay afloat. But some districts are beginning to run out of options, and are at risk of becoming insolvent within the the next few years. Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo has written to the state comptroller asking for guidance for districts in this situation.
