Gov. Andrew Cuomo alongside his daughters — two of whom are being sent off to Brown and Harvard this weekend — greeted President Obama at Buffalo’s airport this morning as he descended from the steps of Air Force One.

Joining the governor for the official greeting was Mayor Byron Brown and Rep. Brian Higgins (in his speech at UB, Obama mistakeningly referred to Higgins as Buffalo’s mayor, a mistake the crowd corrected the president on. Obama blamed the error on being 52).

The White House Pool Report described the Cuomo-Obama greeting as having exchanged “two hearty handshakes.”

Judging by some of the video made available, there was a “bro hug” between the two Democrats as well.

The two-day bus tour will take Obama to Syracuse, Binghamton and Lackawanna College in northern Pennsylvania.
