300,000 people are diagnosed with Lyme Disease each year in this country, according to the Centers for Disease Control. Almost all of those cases come from just 13 states, and New York is one of those states.

This statistic is just part of the reason why the Senate Majority Coalition is forming a new task force on lyme disease and tick borne illnesses.
