The state Supreme Court judge hearing the case brought by a coalition of law firms and the Assembly and Senate leaders has signed off on the adjournment schedule for the case, which could last through March 17.

Court papers filed Friday show Judge Alice Schlesinger approved of the schedule, which includes key dates for filing motions and responses to subpoenas.

The drawn-out schedule over the next three months potentially gives Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the Legislature time to reach some form of an ethics overhaul agreement before the case is adjourned.
