Republican House candidate Matt Doheny is getting in on the action of mocking Democrat Aaron Woolf’s comments to The Adirondack Daily Enterprise that he’s a “press release kind of guy” after he declined to take questions and “congratulated” him on being a registered voter in the North Country district.

From Doheny’s campaign:

“I’d like to congratulate Mr. Woolf on a full four weeks as a registered voter and formally welcome him to the absolute best Congressional District in America. Over the next eight months I look forward to discussing how my North Country roots and real life experience meeting budgets, saving jobs, and improving communities best qualify me to fight for the North Country in Congress. Like many in the press, I am eager to engage Mr. Woolf on issues like ObamaCare, taxing and spending, and what he feels qualifies him to represent the people of the North Country.”

Doheny entered the race a bit late and after Democratic Rep. Bill Owens announced he was retiring in a surprise move.

Declared Republicans in the race include Joe Gillbert and Elise Stefanik.
