The Organization of Management Confidential Employees is pushing Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver in a letter released on Thursday to include long-sought retroactive pay for the state workers.

The MC employees have been renewing their efforts since last year, when Gov. Andrew Cuomo vetoed a bill that would have created a panel to set a schedule of salary increases for the non-union aligned employees.

Regular wage and salary increases for the roughly 9,000 workers considered “management/confidential” employees ended in 2008.

Cuomo has said that any structural changes to workers designated M/C should be done within the framework of the budget.
