Democratic Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney has raised $410,000 in the most recent fundraising quarter, his campaign on Wednesday announced.

Maloney, who has represented the Hudson Valley congressional district since 2012, has $1.5 million in cash on hand to defend what has been a battleground district since he unseated Republican Nan Hayworth.

Maloney successfully defended the seat in 2014 in a rematch against Hayworth.

“Since day one I have worked to get results for my neighbors in the Hudson Valley, despite Washington gridlock,” Maloney said in a statement “I am honored to have the support of so many folks who believe in our fight to invest in education and infrastructure, support our veterans, and keep our country safe, and I’m excited to continue that work.”

This year, six Republicans have filed to run on the GOP line against Maloney this year, including Phil Oliva, a former aide to Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino.

Maloney overall in 2015 raised $2 million for his re-election bid and was endorsed last week by the Independence Party.
