He’s calling for Sheldon Silver to step down from his post as Speaker of the Assembly in the wake of the Assemblyman Vito Lopez scandal. Silver has faced a lot of criticism for helping arrange a settlement with two women who accused Lopez of sexual harassment. Avella explains how that has impacted Silver’s ability to lead.
