The outspoken folk singer and political activist Pete Seeger says in a letter to Gov. Andrew Cuomo — written on blank sheet music paper, natch — that he wants to complete a new song about him banning hydrofracking in New York.

“I’ve got a song half written: Hooray for Andrew Cuomo! Not afraid to change his mind and ban fracking now!”

He closes: “P.S. Help me finish it!”

The letter, tweeted out by the Sloop Clearwater twitter feed, comes as the public comment period on fracking ends today.

Cuomo, I’m told, is more of a Bon Jovi fan.
