The state Democratic Committee on Tuesday evening tweaked the selection of Chemung County Sheriff Christopher Moss to run as lieutenant governor alongside Republican candidate for governor Rob Astorino.

“After 5 rejections, Rob Astorino has finally found the perfect Republican to run with him – one who thinks Governor Cuomo is doing a good job,” said Democratic consultant Hank Sheinkopf.

Democrats also distributed a YouTube video showing Moss praising the expansion of the state’s DNA databank as a key crime-fighting tool. The databank expansion was a top agenda item for Cuomo in 2012.
