Three Presidential Candidates Head To Albany On Monday
Monday is going to be a day for New York’s capital city.
Three presidential candidates will descend on Albany and the surrounding area on Monday as New York’s presidential primary campaign enters a new, intense drive.
Ohio Gov. John Kasich will be meeting with Republican state lawmakers at the Fort Orange Club on Monday, with plans to campaign in Troy and hold a town hall rally at the Saratoga Springs City Center.
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, meanwhile, will hold a midday rally at the Armory in Albany, just a block away from the Fort Orange Club.
Further downtown, Republican businessman Donald Trump will top off the day with a 7 p.m. rally at The Times Union Center.
The events come a week after former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton held a rally at Cohoes High School in the Capital Region and met with Democratic lawmakers in Albany. On Thursday, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz held at a rally in Scotia.
New York’s primary will be held on April 19.
