The League of Women Voters announced Monday its candidate debate will take place Nov. 1, with or without Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

The debate is scheduled to include Republican Marc Molinaro as well as independent candidates Howie Hawkins of the Green Party, Libertarian Larry Sharpe and Stephanie Miner, the former Syracuse mayor running on an independent ballot line.

Cuomo, who is seeking a third term this year, has so far not accepted the invitation for the forum to be held at The College of St. Rose in Albany at the Touhey Forum, located in the Thelma P. Lally School of Education.

Cuomo has accepted a one-on-one debate with Molinaro to air Tuesday night on CBS stations in New York.

Molinaro has called for multiple debates in upstate New York including Buffalo and the Southern Tier region.
