From the Morning Memo:

The Democratic-allied House Majority PAC is airing a new TV ad starting Wednesday highlighting her votes in Congress — framing them as backing giveaways to the rich and powerful.

“Career politician Claudia Tenney is part of the problem in Washington,” said House Majority PAC Press Secretary Hannah Blatt. “Tenney voted for a toxic agenda that hurts hardworking families – raising their taxes and jeopardizing New Yorkers’ retirement benefits and health care. It’s clear, Tenney isn’t trying to drain the swamp. She’s just another Washington politician looking out for herself and special interests.”

The ad is part of a $500,000 from the super PAC in the hotly contest 22nd congressional district, which stretches from the Mohawk Valley region to the Southern Tier.

So far, the House Majority PAC has spent about $900,000 on broadcast and cable TV ad purchases in the Syracuse, Binghamton and Utica markets as part of an effort to flip the district.

Tenney faces Democratic Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi next month in her bid for a second term.
