From the Morning Memo:

The Professional Staff Congress, which represents CUNY faculty, is launching a TV and digital ad campaign that calls for more funding for the public college system in New York City.

The ad will air on cable channels in New York City and Albany for the next three weeks.

The 30-second spot features CUNY students touting the role education has played in their lives and why a funding increase is needed.

“New York State’s funding model for CUNY is broken,” said Barbara Bowen, the president of the Professional Staff Congress. “Conditions at CUNY colleges have reached a breaking-point, with overcrowded classes, a dangerous shortage of counselors, and near-poverty wages for adjunct faculty.”
