Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Sunday announced he would travel to Puerto Rico to meet with student volunteers who have aided in the cleanup there following the devastation of Hurricane Maria.

“We said on day one that we will stand with Puerto Rico every step of the wayThere is still work to do. We are still doing it,” Cuomo said at the Puerto Rican Day Parade in New York City.

“We are going to bring more college students down from SUNY and CUNY this summer, another 300 students to help rebuild. I’ll be going down again to work with those students in rebuilding.”

No date was announced yet for the trip. But it is shaping up to be a busy travel season for the governor. Cuomo announced last week he would travel to Israel later this year as part of a solidarity trip.

Cuomo also announced Sunday a commission that would develop ways of honoring hurricane victims and the winning design would be announced in September. The memorial will be placed in Battery Park City.
